Our Cocoon Swaddle Sacks are designed to be both easy to use and difficult to escape from. This zip-up swaddle is TOG rated for warmth to keep a baby snug and securely swaddled without the need for complicated wrapping from day one. Being TOG-rated means that the 2.5 TOG can be used on its own in room temperatures between 17-23deg;C / 63-73deg;F with no blankets in the bassinet or crib to make this a safe sleep option for a newborn or baby. The chest area is 1.0TOG rated to prevent overheating and allow for full chest expansion when breathing. Parents can layer up underneath as needed for warmth, and follow our handy FREE room thermometer and what to wear guide included with the product to help them dress their child appropriately.nbsp;

The Cocoon Swaddle Sack is made from and filled with GOTS certified organic cotton, with elastane in the outer fabric and bamboo in the lining. This means itapos;s firm enough to restrict startle reflex whilst still allowing stretch and movement for healthy growth. The stretch allows for added comfort, and for a baby to move its hands into a self-settling position inside the swaddle. The soft, breathable organic cotton and bamboo is certified non-toxic, dyed with water based dyes, and gentle on newborn skin, and skin prone to eczema breakouts. A zip enclosure also protects your childapos;s delicate skin, and the handy arm poppers transition the Cocoon from an arms-in swaddle to arms-out sleep sack when baby is showing signs of rolling. The bell shaped design is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as being hip-healthy, and promotes proper joint development in the hips and shoulders joints. Finally, the two-way zipper makes for quick and easy diaper changes during sleep with minimal disruptions.

We’ve already bought 3 sleeping bags in different sizes & TOGs - both our kids sleep very well in them. For me these are the best sleeping bags!

Do your baby a favour and purchase these swaddles. Great quality and the sizing/TOG are spot on. Worth the $$

Good quality. Warmer than baby's other wearable blankets but still needs a fleece pajama to keep him warm enough with the thermostat set to 69 or 70 degrees, and sometimes a cotton pajama underneath that.

This was a life saver for us in winter, when the house was around 68 F. Our baby loves this sack, and even though it has been washed a hundred times, it is still as good as new!

Not wide enough for an infant's hips to fully open when sleeping. Too tight around the neck if fully closed despite going up two sizes.

This sleep sack checked a lot of boxes - super soft, a great weight, easy care instructions, and organic materials. I’ve found that our baby falls asleep faster and has an easier time self-soothing throughout the night. Overall, I really love this sleep sack! The ergo can go in the wash with your regular laundry (dryer included!) but it takes forever to dry completely. It took 3 cycles today. Next time, I’ll try turning it inside out... there’s a lot of stubborn material in the corners. I also love the length - our tall 4 month old is in the 8+ month size and I think this will fit for a long time (will outgrow the arm holes before anything else). ergoPouch’s dressing recommendation scale seems to be different than any other company’s scale, or I’ve misinterpreted something? The 2.5 TOG is designed for rooms at 64-73*. We keep the nursery at 68*. Based on their temp guide, we should be pairing the 2.5 sack with a .2 pajamas. Clothes aren’t typically TOG rated, but I’m guessing that’s like light (regular cotton) sleep n play? When I looked at other manufacturers, most recommended pairing with a short/long sleeve onesie, specifically no pants in the same environment. Obviously, every child’s temp runs differently and these are just guidelines but be mindful of how you dress your baby since this is a heavier/warmer sleep sack. I was debating between a 1.0 and a 2.5 TOG and I wish I would have gotten the 1.0. We have Halo and Burt’s Bees, which are .5 and way too thin. I didn’t think the jump from .5 to 1.0 would have been enough. After having done more research, I think the 1.0 would have been more versatile. I’m going to see how this holds up before purchasing another. Based on the drying time, you’ll for sure want to have two on hand!
